If you are yet to receive your first COVID-19 vaccination there are various ways you can book in; Priority appointments for Disability Support Workers and Aged Care Workers The federal Department of Health has engaged Healthcare Australia (HCA) to provide priority vaccination appointments for the Aged Care and Disability Support sectors. To access a booking, visit here.
If you have a medical exemption to the Vaccine, please email evidence of this to info@brightlifestyle.com.au with subject line “COVID vaccination – Medical exemption”.
The Western Australia Government has announced that a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for a majority of occupations and workforces in WA will be introduced in a phased approach. Read more here. People working in disability support and in-home aged care are part of the WA Government’s Group 1 definition of industries and occupations. A first dose of the vaccine will be required by 1 December 2021, and the second dose of the vaccine will be required by 31 December 2021.

A support worker should not provide services if you answered yes to this question. Follow the associated self-isolation and quarantine guidance for your state and do not resume service delivery / receipt of services until you have obtained a letter of clearance from your state’s public health team

Consult the current Covid-19 self-isolation and quarantine guidance for your state. In some cases, vaccinated individuals will be able to end their isolation period early upon the return of a negative PCR test. Refer to the State and Territory guidance here.
